These notebooks are 4.5 x 6 inches, 48 blank pages, and come with a pretty pen that says 'joy' on the side. There is a little write up for the practice that comes with them.
“THIS TOO”… A JOYFUL PRACTICE…
There is a Taoist/Buddhist teaching of life being a mix of ten thousand joys and ten thousand sorrows. Life is not without sorrows, and some days they seem to be the dominant force. Adopting a practice of “This Too,” is helpful when one needs to keep heart; remain inspired; stay the course. Carry this little notebook as you go about your day… remind yourself to tune in to the quiet joy within you, and the glimmers of beauty still to be found when we remember to look.
This too: Poetry, beauty, spirit,....peace. Consider making little lists, stacking words like cairns. This too: rain, feather, apricot, sky.... This too: nutmeg, basil, saffron, salt.... This too: stillness, silence, wonder, devotion. These little cairns of words become gentle reminders that although there are many griefs and terrors in the world today, there are these dimensions of living too which fuel our resilience, hope, wonder, gratefulness... love and Joy.
